# Processes

A precalculation process combines several calculations. The aim is to be able to calculate and compare several lot sizes for one item.

## Lot Sizes

Lot sizes for the calculation can be stored here.

## Create Calculations

If the lot sizes are stored, the calculations must be created. This creates a separate calculation for each lot size.

## Prepare Calculation

After the calculations have been created, you can prepare them. This will create a new [schemas](/demandplus+/english/pre-calculation/schemas.md) to which the specified precalculation schema template will be applied.

Each calculation created from a process is linked to it. Thus, you can find and open the created calculations for a process.
